This project was a great creative exercise with a very clear constraint: how do you turn a dense, multi-page PDF report into a short, dynamic, and engaging video? That was the entire task for this piece for Sanitation and Water for All.
My job was to create a promotional video for SWA's 2021 Mutual Accountability Mechanism Global Report. The goal was to summarize the report's key findings and encourage viewers to download the full document. The only asset I had to work with was the final PDF of the report, so the whole creative approach was centered on using subtle motion design to bring the flat pages to life and guide the viewer through its story.
A big part of making the video feel alive was the kinetic typography. I pulled out the main headlines and data points—like "The 300+ commitments"—and animated them on screen. This not only creates visual interest but also helps to emphasize the key messages and make them much more memorable.
To keep it cohesive, I also brought in graphic elements from SWA's branding, like the wavy lines you see in the background. This added another layer of subtle movement and made sure the video felt like a natural extension of the report's own design.
I'm really proud of how this video turned out, especially given the creative constraints. It was a fantastic lesson in how thoughtful motion design can transform a static document into a compelling narrative. It’s a great example of how you don't always need a big film shoot or complex 3D assets to create something that is effective, informative, and engaging.
