For the new Kia Cerato reveal, the creative task was to capture both the grand, sweeping beauty of the car in motion and the intimate, tactile details that make it feel premium. This video was my solution to telling both of those stories at the same time.
While I was working with the team at Moris Pub Ogilvy, my role was to create the official reveal video for the Kia Cerato. The goal was to build excitement and showcase the car's impressive features, from its sleek exterior design to its modern, comfortable interior. The core idea was to create a dynamic visual experience by blending two different filming styles: epic, cinematic drone footage and more grounded, personal handheld shots.
The drone shots were key to giving the video a sense of scale and adventure. Seeing the car glide through those beautiful, winding roads gives it a heroic quality and really shows off its performance in a way that feels aspirational and exciting.
To balance that epic feeling, I used a series of tighter, more dynamic shots to focus on the details—the texture of the leather stitching, the metallic finish on the gearshift, the new logo on the wheel. This approach makes you feel like you're right there, about to get in the driver's seat.
This project was a great experience in telling a complete story through contrast. It showed me how blending two different camera styles—the high-flying drone and the up-close, detailed shots—can come together to paint a full picture of a product. You get a feel for both its epic performance on the road and its personal, luxurious feel on the inside.
